Join an incredible journey through time and nature with this 2027 Normandy Photography Workshop. From the hitorically rich Mont Saint Michel to the wonderful coast of Etretat without forgeting the beautiful architecture of Honfleur, Normandy will amze by its natural diversity, heavy cultural anchor and history rich land.

This January 2027 Normandy Workshop is a great opportunity to visit a less explored area of France. Januray is the right balance of daylight, interesting weather and most of all, lower tourists crowds. The colder and sometime freezing weather brings some incredible atmospheres all along the coasts, meanwhile the typical architecture of some of the most beautiful village of France will plunge you back in time, without forgetting the incredible culinary experience share along the way. Beyond the technical aspects, this will be a creative and immersive experience shared with a small group of passionate photographers, providing the opportunity to hopefully creat beautiful friendship with other passionate photographers.

Itinerary

This 2027 Normandy Photography Workshop is suited for any fitness, as most spots are reachable within a few minutes of walking. A few easy walks will take place in on the coasts, possibly requiring a bit more effort (stairs, etc), but generally easy. We will be driving along the coast in an 8-9 seaters van , and I will ensure that we are always at the right place at the right time, hopefully with the right conditions.

Day 1

All participants to this Normandy Photography Tour will be picked up in Rennes, 1.5 hours from Paris by Train, on Saturday, January 10th 2027 by 12:00pm. The pick up meeting will be at the train station. After that, we will head towards our first incredible destination: The Mont Saint Michel (MSM). It is about an hour drive from Rennes. Upon our arrival, we will do our check in at our hotel, and then head for our first sunset session around the area. We will stay at the MSMfor the first two nights, in a hotel directly within the Mont Saint Michel where we will be able to photograph thos nice and beautiful streets lit at night.

Lunch: on you own or on the go (not included)

Dinner: Welcome dinner in a traditional restaurant either at the Mont Saint Michel or close to it

Day 2

The second day of this 2026 Photography Workshop in Normandy will start with a sunrise around the beautiful Mont Saint Michel. The morning glowy light will give use son magical depth in the area, placing the Mont Saint Michel making the Mont Saint Michel extrmely attractive. After the morning session and breakfast, we will go for a private guided visit of the monastery. Keep your camera ready as the place offers stuning details to be captured. After lunch, we will do a review of the pictures taken during the last two sessions. This will help to fix early on any potential issues for the rest of the tour. We will then head for our second sunset around the Mont Saint Michel, for this we will go to another location in order to have new perspectives of this beautiful place.

After a well packed day, we will go for dinner and head back to our hotel fo a well deserved night.

Day 3

We wil head for a last sunrise around the Mont Saint Michel after breakfast with hopefully a great light, making the place look extraordinary. We will then head back to our hotel and check out before heading to our next location: La Hague. On our way we will stop in Gouville sur Mer to have lunch and photograph the beautiful beach huts of Gouville. We will then continue our jounrey to La Hague for sunset to photgraph beautiful cliffs. After sunset we will head to our hotel for the night.

Day 4

We will repeat our location for sunrise or head to a different location close by depending on the previous' evenings conditions. After sunrise, we will pack and head to visit some recent historical places around some of the WWII memorials, including the American Cimetery, D-Day memorial, Omaha beach

light conditions second day in that area will be marked by the visit of Masca, a secluded village lost in Tenerife's mountains. That will be an opportunity to discover a new atypical landscape on the island. Discovering the area and taking time around it will be key to find the right compositions and ensure to capture amazing shots.

We will possibly end that day by heading towards the coast and take some time to our first astrophotography session before the real game around the Teide National Park on the next day.

Day 6

We will either have a sunrise in Puerto de la Cruz or have a slow morning, a good opportunity to enjoy a nice walk on Puerto's Riviera.

We will try to do a second photography review where every participant will be able to share some images captured over the past few days.

After lunch we will leave Puerto and head towards the highlight of this 2026 landscape photography workshop in Tenerife: the Teide National Park. Get ready to be blown away by a wonderful lava field which gives the impression of being straight out of another planet. We will head to our accommodation which is located in the heart of the park while still making some stop along the way. We will be staying in the only hotel available in the area.

In the course of the afternoon, we will review some important techniques about night photography to make sure all participants can capture unforgettable shots. After an undoubtedly incredible sunset session we will head for dinner and then get ready to head for some night photography.

Since night photography will be our focus during these couple of days, we will spend the necessary time outside to capture all that need to be captured.

Day 7

Sunrise will be optional, depending on how late we stayed outside the night before. But in any case, that free time will be a great opportunity to view the shots from the previous night, and understand how to process them adequately to have an amazing rendering.

As partof of the Photography Tour in Tenerife, I will be teaching you how to make the most out of your night shots. Also, we will review your photography to ensure that the next session will deliver even better opportunities in this incredible location.

For those who wish to, there will be an opportunity to take the cable car to reach the top of mount Teide in the afternoon and enjoy the 360° view of the Island. In the evening we will head for sunset at a wonderful location with view over Mount Teide. As usual, I will be around you to guide you and ensure your shot will be adequate.

After dinner at our hotel, we will head for our second and last session of night photography around the Teide. Since you will be a bit more experimented with it, we will try to go one step forward, and apply some more complex techniques like panoramas or integrating someone in the shot. As for the previous night, the session will last as long as it needs to last.

Day 8

This will be the last day of this Tenerife guided photography tour. Depending on the participants' flying time, and the level of tiredness that day, we will either head for sunrise or drive directly towards The Airport in Tenerife from our hotel. As for the way in, I will be driving you to either the North or South Airport. No matter where I drop you, it will be time to leave each other after a warm goodbye and hopefully some great memories.

Participating in this Tenerife photography workshop does not stop to your guide organizing your stay around the place, but also includes teaching of various photography techniques and knowledge.

Currency: Euro
Means of payment: paying by credit card is very common in Tenerife. Cash will most probably be unnecessary. For participants outside of Europe, having an international credit card such as Revolut can be helpful to limit fees and enjoy a decent exchange rate.
Electricity: Spain uses Europlugs Type C & F, which has two round plugs. If you are travelling from outside EU, you will certainly need an adaptor.
Internet: Wi-Fi will be available in all our accommodations, 4G is widely available, however, many places are remote without any population and internet my quickly become unavailable. Especially in national parks. If travelling from Europe, Spain is likely to be included in your data roaming. For people outside Europe, you can either look for a package with your carrier or consider purchasing a local SIM card locally.

7 nights will be spent on the beautiful Tenerife island during this Tenerife - Canary Island Photography Tour.
All accommodations will be in 3* to 4* hotels.
The first three nights will be spent in a hotel in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the two following nights will be spent in Puerto de la Cruz.
The two last nights of this tour will be spent in the only hotel in the Teide National Park.
The single supplement is 400€ for a single room during the whole tour.
Breakfasts will be eaten at our accommodation on most days.
Lunches will be eaten at local restaurants on most days. These are not included in the tour. A maximum of about 20€ will be necessary for lunch. I will ensure to make you discover some of the greatest local eateries.
All dinners are included in the tour. They will be eaten at local restaurants or in our hotels.
During the whole trip, we will drive in a 9 seaters van. Driving time each day will vary, but will rarely be more than one hour for one way.

1. What weather should I expect in June?

Being close to the Equator, the weather is mostly stable and very pleasant in the whole archipelago, including in Tenerife. That being said, it is still an island in the Atlantic ocean and it is subject to micro climates. It is also an island with it's highest point stading at 3'715m. Close to the coast, temperatures are usually around 20°C to 25°C during the day, with slightly lower temperatures in the morning and at night. Around the Teide national park, temperatures can be similar during the day, but at night they can drop below 10°C and below 0°C in winter. Therefore be ready to put some layer on when being up at night shooting the milkyway.

2. Do I need a visa to enter Spain?

As you might already know, Tenerife is part of Spain. In that regard, no visa are required for citizens from the shengen area, Switzerland and the UK.

3. Can drones be uses in Tenerife?

Unfortunately, most incredible sceneries in Tenerife do allow drones. A few spots on the coast still do, however these won't probably be the shots one wants to capture. Feel free to bring it, but if it is a trade-off with some other photography equipment that may be more important, then I would avoid taking it with me.

4. I am a novice or enthusiast photographer, will I get some support?

Don't worry, this tour is suited for all levels. My goal as photographer is making sure that you can bring amazing pictures to show your friends/family and of course decorate your home. You will therefore get support and advices based on my experience.

Your Guide

Hi there, I am Rémi Bergougnoux, a French landscape photographer with extensive knowledge over various topics in landscape photography.
I let behind my 9 to 5 corporate job in the course of 2021 before heading for a year in Latin America, exploring, and photographing this beautiful continent. While being back in Europe in the course of 2022, I decided to bring my photography to the next level, and take the chance to share my knowledge with other passionate photographer. Offering workshops came naturally to me given my knowledge of travelling, photography and desire to share my passion.
Besides workshops, I am also writing articles for magazines, writing photography guides, and creating YouTube video tutorials about landscape photography across Europe.
I explored the Lofoten Islands numerous times since 2020 including a month long during a winter camper trip in 2023 that also included a trip to Senja Island located further north.
To this day, I know exactly what to expect on the Island, whether we are talking about light or weather, and therefore will be able to guide you through the Island in order to catch the best possible photographs.
