• Currency: the national currency of Morocco is the Dirham

• Means of payment: In Morocco, credit cards are accepted in most hotels, larger restaurants, supermarkets and modern shops, especially in major cities and tourist areas. However, many small shops, local restaurants, markets and taxis operate on a cash-only basis. It is therefore advisable to carry some cash in Moroccan dirhams (MAD). ATMs are widely available in cities and tourist destinations. Having an international credit card such as Revolut can be helpful to limit fees and enjoy a competitive exchange rate.

• Electricity: Morocco uses types C and E plugs. Plug type C has two round pins, while plug type E has two round pins with a hole for the grounding pin found in the socket. The standard voltage is 220 V with a frequency of 50 Hz. Most European travellers will not need an adapter, but visitors from countries using different plug types should bring a suitable travel adapter.

• Internet: Wi-Fi will be available in our accommodations. 4G coverage is generally good in cities, towns and along main roads, although it may be limited or unavailable in remote mountain and desert areas. Travellers from the European Union should note that Morocco is not included in EU roaming regulations, so roaming charges can be expensive. Two convenient options are available: purchasing a local SIM card (or eSIM if your phone supports it) upon arrival, or buying an international roaming package from your current carrier before departure.

• Our group will be accommodated in local Riads, typical houses suited for high temperatures and privacy,  with all the comfort needed. Accommodations are strategically located and generally close to our shooting locations.

• We will spend 2 nights in the desert inclding one night in a fixed camp and another one in a set up camp

• Another night will be spent in a set up camp in a secret location

• Participants will be accommodated in double rooms. 

• Single rooms available upon requests for à 300€ supplement.

• Breakfasts and dinners are included and will be eaten respectively at our accommodation and at local restaurants.

• Lunches are not included and will be mostly eaten at local restaurants. Lunch cost is expected to be between 5€ and 15€.

• The group will be transported in a 9 seater van. It will be driven by a local guide all along the tour.

• Rads are generally in a good state, however, the road tends to be sinuous. Daily travel time is around 3h excluding stops.

1. Is Morocco a safe country?

Morocco is extremely safe. I actually never felt threatened once whe travelling by myself there. Quite the opposite, people were mostly friendly and helpful along the way. Staying respectful with locals and cautious at all time just as you would at home will avoid any unlikely issues.

2. What is the fitness level required for this tour?

This 2027 Morocco Photography Tour does not require any specific physical level. The hardest part will be to walk a bit in the sand in the desert when we weill be chasing incredible pictures. Some parts will not require any walk, and dromaderies will be available for those who prefer not to walk.​

3. How will the weather be at that time of the year?

In March, Morocco will be coming out of winter, therefore some areas in higher altitude might be a bit colder at night and for sunset or sunrise. The desert will be hot during the day, but temperatures will remain manageable. A good hat, sunscreen and plenty of water will help. On the coast the weather is mild but can also be colder in the evening and at night.

Rain is not expected in the area we will be visiting.​

4. I am a novice or enthusiast photographer, will I get some support?

Don't worry, this tour is suited for all levels. My goal as photographer is making sure that you can bring amazing pictures to show your friends/family and of course decorate your home.
