Itinerary

During this Slovenia Photo Tour, we will be driving around Slovenia in a 9 seaters van. Most spots are easily reachable by foot and do not require any specific fitness, making it a great place to bring all the gear you need. Drones are generally accepted and also help to catch unique pictures, so do not hesitate to bring yours. Most of our accommodations will be close to our photo spots in order to limit our daily commutes.

Day 1- Tuesday 27th October

This Slovenia Photography Workshop will start by picking up our group at Venice Airport at 12pm. It is important that all people joining the tour get at the airport no later than 1pm in order as we will have a 3 hours drive to reach our first sunset spot in Slovenia.

We will head to photograph one of the most famous churches in Slovenia. We will hope for some amazing atmospheres with, ideally, fog and top lit mountains.

We will then head to our hotel and go for dinner, where we will do a briefing of the tour so that everyone can get to know each other and ask any questions.

Day 2 - Wednesday 28th October

We will head back to the same church as the previous evening to get a different atmosphere. Sunrise is usually more interesting in that location because of the sun's direction, but knowing the place from the previous day will help to not being overwhelmed by the place and focus on the best compositions.

Depending on the conditions, we might have to wait for some time until the fog unveils the beauty of the landscape, but no matter what, we will put all chances on our side to capture the best shots.

After our sunrise, we will head to Bled, get to our accommodation, and do either a photo review from the previous day or a photo editing session.

We will then head for sunset to lake Bled to discover the highlight of this Slovenia Photography Tour, lake bled's church island.

Day 3 - Thursday 29th October

We will head to Lake bled for sunrise this time and hope for some amazing mist, We will have the opportunity to walk around the lake and take several compositions. If the weather is with us, we might stay around for quite some time to make sure we make the most of our time.

We will head back for breakfast at our hotel and have a short rest.

Right after lunchtime, we will head towards a unique spots not many people go to, to photograph some amazing vineyards, including a heart shaped road surrounded by vineyards. The drive to the place will be about 2h15min. The entrance to the viewpoint is 5 euros and is not included in the tour.  That will be a great opportunity to also do some light trails through the vineyards.

We will head back to Bled after sunset, have dinner there or on our way back.

Day 4 & 5 - Friday 30th & Saturday 31st October 

During the next two days of this 2026 Slovenia Landscape Photography Workshop we will have other opportunities to head to lake Bled, especially if we haven't had any mist on the previous day. Since the mist is the key weather condition to make this place look even more stunning that it actually is, we really want to put all chances on our side to experience it.​

In case we already had great conditions, we will keep on exploring the area for sunset and sunrises including churches, lakes, mountains, valleys and gorges.​

​

We will also take this opportunity to do some photo reviews and some post-processing of the pictures taken over the past few days.​

​​Day 6 - Sunday 1st November

Our last sunrise of this Fall Slovenia Photography Workshop will be dependent on what conditions we had the previous days. We might either try our luck one more time at Lake Bled or go to another location depending on the group's wish. In any case, we will manage to catch some wonderful photographs.

​

After that last sunrise, we will start to head back to Venice Airport or Ljubljana Airport, depending on each participant's city of departure.

Following a hopefully great week photographing the Slovenian wonders, it will time to tell to each other a warm goodbye and remember the nice memories of the tour.
