Join me for a 2026 Tenerife Photo Workshop to explore one of the most diverse and culture rich islands in the Atlantic. From the lush Anaga Mountains and its rain forest, the volcanic wilderness of Teide National Park, without forgetting the rugged Masca Valley and its traditional village and numerous black sand beaches, Tenerife offers an extraordinary range of photographic opportunities.

Theis June 2026 Tenerife Workshop is an amazing opportunity to visit this well-preserved island. June is one of the best month to observe the stars and surrounding nature before the summer tourist crowd takes over the island. Vibrant and near unbelievable nature surrounding you will act as perfect subjects for landscape photography. Through various photography styles including night, seascape, mountains, woodland, I will share with you my approach to composition, light, and help you develop your skills as a landscape photographer. Beyond the technical aspects, this will be a creative and immersive experience shared with a small group of passionate photographers, providing the opportunity to network with other passionate photographers.

Itinerary

This 2026 Tenerife photography tour is suited for any fitness, as most spots are reachable within a few minutes of walking. A few easy walks will take place in forests or around the Teide National Park. We will be driving around the islands, and I will ensure that we are always at the right place at the right time, hopefully with the right conditions.

Day 1

All participants to this Tenerife Photography Workshop will need to arrive on Saturday 6th of June 2026 on the Island, whether in Tenerife North or South airport. I will ensure the transfer from the airport to our first accommodation in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where we will stay for the first three nights of this tour. Once all participants will be there, we will have a presentation of the tour, and we will head to our first sunset location to observe the Teide volcano from a great and easy view point.

Day 2 and 3

During the three first days of this 2026 Landscape Photography Workshop in Tenerife we will explore the northern part of the island. We will leave each day early to catch the first lights of the rising sun. That area of the island is very diverse with its various landscapes including the Anaga rainforest as well some black sand beaches and desertic sceneries. Given the reliability of the weather in the area, the guarantee of getting some good to very good light, especially in the morning, is elevated. This translates into opportunities for great photography.

After our morning sessions, we will generally head back to our accommodation for breakfast. After breakfast or early afternoon, I will either give some technical presentations or we will do some post-processing and/or photography reviews.

Lunches: lunch will be free, or we can have it altogether either at our hotel or in some local places for some local culinary experiences

Dinners: either at our hotel or in a local restaurant

Day 4

On Tuesday 9th, we will either go for sunrise or have a rest depending on the group's level of tiredness. We will leave our hotel later in the morning and head towards the second base of this Landscape Photography Workshop in Tenerife in Puerto de la Cruz.

After reaching Puerto de la Cruz and checking in at our accommodation, our group will continue this Tenerife Photography Tour by exploring the southwestern part of the Island. Rocky coasts, volcanic pools and traditional towns will be on the program.

Diner: in traditional restaurant or in our hotel in Puerto de la Cruz

Day 5

Our second day in that area will be marked by the visit of Masca, a secluded village lost in Tenerife's mountains. That will be an opportunity to discover a new atypical landscape on the island. Discovering the area and taking time around it will be key to find the right compositions and ensure to capture amazing shots.

We will possibly end that day by heading towards the coast and take some time to our first astrophotography session before the real game around the Teide National Park on the next day.

Lunch: in Puerto de la Cruz

Diner: in a local restaurant on our way back to Puerto de la Cruz or in Puerto de la Cruz

Day 6

We will either have a sunrise in Puerto de la Cruz or have a slow morning, a good opportunity to enjoy a nice walk on Puerto's Riviera.

We will try to do a second photography review where every participant will be able to share some images captured over the past few days.

After lunch we will leave Puerto and head towards the highlight of this 2026 landscape photography workshop in Tenerife: the Teide National Park. Get ready to be blown away by a wonderful lava field which gives the impression of being straight out of another planet. We will head to our accommodation which is located in the heart of the park while still making some stop along the way. We will be staying in the only hotel available in the area.

In the course of the afternoon, we will review some important techniques about night photography to make sure all participants can capture unforgettable shots. After an undoubtedly incredible sunset session we will head for dinner and then get ready to head for some night photography.

Since night photography will be our focus during these couple of days, we will spend the necessary time outside to capture all that need to be captured.

Day 7

Sunrise will be optional, depending on how late we stayed outside the night before. But in any case, that free time will be a great opportunity to view the shots from the previous night, and understand how to process them adequately to have an amazing rendering.

As partof of the Photography Tour in Tenerife, I will be teaching you how to make the most out of your night shots. Also, we will review your photography to ensure that the next session will deliver even better opportunities in this incredible location.

For those who wish to, there will be an opportunity to take the cable car to reach the top of mount Teide in the afternoon and enjoy the 360° view of the Island. In the evening we will head for sunset at a wonderful location with view over Mount Teide. As usual, I will be around you to guide you and ensure your shot will be adequate.

After dinner at our hotel, we will head for our second and last session of night photography around the Teide. Since you will be a bit more experimented with it, we will try to go one step forward, and apply some more complex techniques like panoramas or integrating someone in the shot. As for the previous night, the session will last as long as it needs to last.

Day 8

This will be the last day of this Tenerife guided photography tour. Depending on the participants' flying time, and the level of tiredness that day, we will either head for sunrise or drive directly towards The Airport in Tenerife from our hotel. As for the way in, I will be driving you to either the North or South Airport. No matter where I drop you, it will be time to leave each other after a warm goodbye and hopefully some great memories.

Participating in this Tenerife photography workshop does not stop to your guide organizing your stay around the place, but also includes teaching of various photography techniques and knowledge.

Currency: Euro
Means of payment: paying by credit card is very common in Tenerife. Cash will most probably be unnecessary. For participants outside of Europe, having an international credit card such as Revolut can be helpful to limit fees and enjoy a decent exchange rate.
Electricity: Spain uses Europlugs Type C & F, which has two round plugs. If you are travelling from outside EU, you will certainly need an adaptor.
Internet: Wi-Fi will be available in all our accommodations, 4G is widely available, however, many places are remote without any population and internet my quickly become unavailable. Especially in national parks. If travelling from Europe, Spain is likely to be included in your data roaming. For people outside Europe, you can either look for a package with your carrier or consider purchasing a local SIM card locally.

7 nights will be spent on the beautiful Tenerife island during this Tenerife - Canary Island Photography Tour.
All accommodations will be in 3* to 4* hotels.
The first three nights will be spent in a hotel in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the two following nights will be spent in Puerto de la Cruz.
The two last nights of this tour will be spent in the only hotel in the Teide National Park.
The single supplement is 400€ for a single room during the whole tour.
Breakfasts will be eaten at our accommodation on most days.
Lunches will be eaten at local restaurants on most days. These are not included in the tour. A maximum of about 20€ will be necessary for lunch. I will ensure to make you discover some of the greatest local eateries.
All dinners are included in the tour. They will be eaten at local restaurants or in our hotels.
During the whole trip, we will drive in a 9 seaters van. Driving time each day will vary, but will rarely be more than one hour for one way.

1. What weather should I expect in June?

Being close to the Equator, the weather is mostly stable and very pleasant in the whole archipelago, including in Tenerife. That being said, it is still an island in the Atlantic ocean and it is subject to micro climates. It is also an island with it's highest point stading at 3'715m. Close to the coast, temperatures are usually around 20°C to 25°C during the day, with slightly lower temperatures in the morning and at night. Around the Teide national park, temperatures can be similar during the day, but at night they can drop below 10°C and below 0°C in winter. Therefore be ready to put some layer on when being up at night shooting the milkyway.

2. Do I need a visa to enter Spain?

As you might already know, Tenerife is part of Spain. In that regard, no visa are required for citizens from the shengen area, Switzerland and the UK.

3. Can drones be uses in Tenerife?

Unfortunately, most incredible sceneries in Tenerife do allow drones. A few spots on the coast still do, however these won't probably be the shots one wants to capture. Feel free to bring it, but if it is a trade-off with some other photography equipment that may be more important, then I would avoid taking it with me.

4. I am a novice or enthusiast photographer, will I get some support?

Don't worry, this tour is suited for all levels. My goal as photographer is making sure that you can bring amazing pictures to show your friends/family and of course decorate your home. You will therefore get support and advices based on my experience.

Your Guide

Hi there, I am Rémi Bergougnoux, a French landscape photographer with extensive knowledge over various topics in landscape photography.
I let behind my 9 to 5 corporate job in the course of 2021 before heading for a year in Latin America, exploring, and photographing this beautiful continent. While being back in Europe in the course of 2022, I decided to bring my photography to the next level, and take the chance to share my knowledge with other passionate photographer. Offering workshops came naturally to me given my knowledge of travelling, photography and desire to share my passion.
Besides workshops, I am also writing articles for magazines, writing photography guides, and creating YouTube video tutorials about landscape photography across Europe.
I explored the Lofoten Islands numerous times since 2020 including a month long during a winter camper trip in 2023 that also included a trip to Senja Island located further north.
To this day, I know exactly what to expect on the Island, whether we are talking about light or weather, and therefore will be able to guide you through the Island in order to catch the best possible photographs.
